The Harris County Hurricane Harvey Recovery Program has funding available to distribute aid to people whose homes were damaged during Hurricane Harvey. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. Since this is a new program, it doesn’t matter if you were turned away by FEMA, or whether you had insurance or not. This program is intended to help folks still struggling with their homes as a result of Harvey. Because this is funded through the federal government, 70% of those helped by this must be low-to-moderate income.
Some of the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Program options include: Home Rehabilitation Assistance, Home Reconstruction Assistance, Elevation Assistance, Homeowner Reimbursement Assistance, Residential Buyout, Acquisition and Down Payment Assistance
If you or someone you know has had their home damaged by Harvey, please fill out a pre-application form. To get started, go to www.harrisrecovery.org and click the box that best describes you. If you have any questions or need any help, call 832-927-4961.
