Project Description
This grant funded project is the result of the Concrete Street and Drainage study that was conducted for the grid street that are bounded by Fairmont on the south, 8th Street on the west, Broadway on the west and Main Street to the north. The first phase of the project will include the installation and construction of an enhanced drainage spine down 3rd Street and street improvements. All $4.5 million for this project are federal grant funds from Hurricane Ike.
First Quarter FY 14-15
Contractor installed storm sewer system from Fairmont Pkwy. To West F Street. Pavement 80 percent complete from Fairmont to West F Street less intersections.
Second Quarter FY 14-15
Contractor installed storm sewer from F Street to C Street. Pavement and sidewalks 95 percent completed to E Street. Installing inlet leads and inlets G Street to D Street. Sod completed from Fairmont to G St.
