The Fire Marshal's Office has the authority and jurisdiction to investigate any fires within the city limits of La Porte. The Fire Marshal's Office investigates fires to determine the origin and cause. In the event of a criminal element, the Fire Marshal's Office may pursue criminal charges as warranted.
