Welcome to the City of La Porte Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Web Site. Our mission is to aggressively and continuously plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the quality of emergency medical services provided to the residents of and visitors to the City of La Porte.

The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Department is responsible for providing emergency life support services at the basic and advanced level. EMS staff consists of a Chief, Asst. Chief, Captain's, Paramedic III's, Paramedic II's, Paramedic I's, EMS Interns and a Billing Specialist. EMS utilizes five fully stocked Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulances in its fleet, and has three MICU ambulances on-duty at all times along with the ALS equipped 1st responder vehicles that are operated by the on-duty EMS supervisors. The City of La Porte EMS has established itself in the community as an ardent supporter of public education. Our education programs include the: "Childhood Immunization Program," "Community CPR Classes," "Shattered Dreams Program," "Fall Prevention Program" and a Child Safety Seat Program.

In 2014, the City of La Porte EMS responded to over 3,600 calls for service.
