La Porte Municipal Court and Morgan's Point Municipal Court are considered "Safe Harbors" and no defendants will be arrested due to outstanding local warrants.
If you are assessed a fine and court costs as a result of a citation and you are unable to pay, please notify the court immediately. You may request a hearing before the judge. If you are determined by the court to have insufficient resources or income to pay, the court is required to provide you other ways to discharge the fine and costs.

If you have an arrest warrant(s) these are your options:- You may contact the courthouse for available walk-in court dates.
- You may post a cash bond for the full amount of your fine to clear your warrants and receive a new court date to appear before a judge. You or your attorney must post a cash bond by appearing in person.
- You may post a surety/appearance bond by calling a bail bond company for the full amount of your fine to clear your warrants and receive a new court date to appear before a judge. You, or your attorney, or a bail bond company must post surety/appearance bond by appearing in person, by mail, by email or by fax.
- Plead guilty or no contest and pay your citation in full to clear your warrants. Payments may be made in person at the cashier's window by you or your attorney during normal business hours.
- You may also pay by mail with a money order or cashier's check.
- You may also pay 24/7 by credit card over the telephone at 877-224-6076. Keep in mind that the warrant will not be cleared until payment is received.
- You may also pay online at the Municipal Court Payments website.
Capias Pro-Fine Warrants
Capias Pro-Fine warrants are issued for defendants who received a violation, have been found guilty by the court, and failed to fulfill the direction of the court. Capias Pro-Fine warrants are issued following a show-cause hearing and are non-bondable.Options
If you have Capias Pro-Fine warrant(s) these are your options:- You may contact the courthouse for available walk-in court dates to discuss a lower monthly payment plan, community service, jail credit or a finding of indigence.
- You may pay your fine in full to clear your warrants. Anyone may make the payment at the cashier's window during normal business hours.
- You may pay by mail with a money order or cashier's check.
- You may pay 24/7 by credit card over the telephone at 877-224-6076. Keep in mind that the warrant will not be cleared until payment is received.
- You may also pay online on the Municipal Court Payments website.
- You may request an indigence hearing.
Subject to Arrest
