About the Programs

The Harris County Home Repair Program offers grants for the purpose of providing decent, safe, sanitary housing conditions, and improving the resident's quality of life.  Grants are provided to low-income, elderly persons (62 years or older) or households with a disabled person.  Contact Harris County to learn more about the application process.

The Texas General Land Office Program (GLO) is currently accepting applications for a state administered Homeowners Assistance Program (HAP). This program is currently open to Harris County homeowners that were affected by Hurricane Harvey.  The HAP program will repair and rehabilitate, reconstruct, and improve a damaged home so that it is more resilient against natural disasters. Visit the GLO website for more information.
